While we value discussing a child's progress with parents, our formal reporting process aligns directly with two sets of SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS. These assessments serve as crucial points for evaluating a student's academic development. Our reporting system encompasses three fundamental aspects:

Attainment, Improvement and Effort

There are three elements to our Reporting System.

  • Attainment

This measures a child's mastery of the curriculum, aligning with international standards for those following the UK and Cambridge curriculum worldwide.

  • Improvement

This assesses a child's personal growth since the previous assessment, providing an objective measure of progress.

  • Effort

A subjective evaluation reflecting a child's consistent dedication and commitment to giving their best in each subject.

At WICA, the Effort Grade is particularly meaningful, signalling a student's readiness to achieve their potential. It represents their dedication to facing challenges and their prospects for success.

Twice a year, our teachers prepare written Reports detailing Attainment, Improvement, and Effort Grades, alongside areas of strength and improvement. These Reports are securely stored on the school app, allowing parents and teachers to monitor progress and address past weaknesses.

Checking on Child Progress
