At Wheaton International Christian Academy, we follow the esteemed Cambridge Assessment of International Education (CAIE) curriculum which is the world’s largest provider of international education programs and qualifications. This curriculum aligns seamlessly with our commitment to academic excellence and biblical values, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them not only for success in their future academic pursuits but also for a life dedicated to service, integrity, and faith in Christ.

Our renowned curriculum lays a strong academic foundation for students, equipping them for a successful future. Through CAIE and IGCSE exams, they gain access to prestigious higher education institutions worldwide. At WICA, our diverse subjects and hands-on learning foster critical thinking and practical application, intertwining knowledge with a deeper understanding of God's purpose. Beyond textbooks, we invest in shaping compassionate leaders and innovative thinkers who impact their communities. As students grow, they develop not just skills but also Christ-like character, embracing Biblical values. We believe genuine fulfilment stems from a deeper connection with God, enabling each student to discover joy and purpose in life's journey.

Our Curriculum is built upon the world-renowned scheme created by Cambridge Assessment International Education, a Department within the University of Cambridge, which takes children from age 7 through to IGCSE and A Levels.

By being affiliated as partners with Cambridge International, we are able to deliver their full Curriculum and enter children for their first-class suite of UK qualifications.

The Cambridge Pathways are aligned with the National Curriculum for England, but can be complemented with broader curriculum materials and additional digital learning resources. WICA is therefore able to integrate well-established e-learning tools to boost reading, maths and science in addition to the standard Cambridge International Curriculum.

We anticipate commencing Grade 9 and 10 in 2025.

The curriculum in the first Phase builds upon children’s prior learning, with a great emphasis upon the five core areas of literacy, numeracy, creative expression, and the principles of science and technology.

All lessons are taught exclusively in English and parents will have to be sure that their children are already competent in written and spoken English before they enrol. We will expect to progress their English significantly during their time with us, but we cannot teach them English if they have no grounding in the language when they join us.

Naturally, a good grasp of English for a child of their age will also be vital if they are going to be able to understand what is being taught in all of their other lessons too.
